Welcome to the NEW Jacobs University CV Tool and Profile Publication!

Serving as a link between education and employment, the Career Services Center (CSC) brings together prospective employers and Jacobs students and alumni. We maintain existing and develop new relationships with companies for mutually beneficial encounters.

We invite you to participate in the Jacobs University Publication! By submitting your profile, you get exposure to our business contacts who are in a constant look out for talent! In addition, you can use the CV creation capabilities of this online tool and save your CV safely online. You can export it and individualize it for each of your application.

The new system allows you to use the CV-creation capabilities as easy as before. We are, however, no longer going to publish the entire CVs online but will instead publish a very specialized profile consisting of your name and contact details, photo, studies, nationality, and keywords pertaining to your wants, haves, and interests. You will notice some navigation changes that go along with these changes - the dark blue menu items point to information that is going to be published (apart from your address); the light blue menu items are the CV sections you know already. We hope the changes to this tool will make it easier for businesses to discover your unique profiles!

Graduating Students

• The profiles (contact details, picture, major, wants, haves and interests) of all graduating undergraduate and graduate students of a given year will be featured in our online publication and advertised to selected companies in the spring of your graduation year.
• You may use the website to easily create, store and export your CV to a Word document to individualize it for applications to specific companies or institutions to apply for jobs or graduate school.
• We are expecting 90% of all graduating students to participate in the online publication.

All other Students

• You may use the website to easily create, store and export your CV to a Word document to individualize it for applications to specific companies or institutions to apply for internships, jobs or graduate school.

Alumni

• You may use the website to easily create, store and export your CV to a Word document to individualize it for personal use.
• You may view the CVs of all Jacobs Students and Alumni for recruiting purposes.

Throughout the year, the CSC offers various Professional Skills Seminars and Workshops for career exploration, preparation, implementation and development as we strive to educate you for a lifetime of successful career management.
